Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18, takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026.
The national day celebrates children and young people’s creativity through free, local and hands-on activities across Ireland. Activities can include art, music, theatre, dance, coding, circus skills, animation and more.
Creative Cavan programme
Creative Cavan is delivering a programme of activities throughout the county, giving children and young people the chance to try something new, have fun and take part in creative experiences close to home.

Explore and Wonder family creativity day
Explore and Wonder is a gentle, sensory-friendly creative day designed especially for children with additional needs and their families.
The event offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where children and young people can explore, express themselves and discover creativity at their own pace. Activities include printing, bush craft, circus skills, messy play and more.
Explore and Wonder takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026, from 2pm to 5pm, at Share Discovery Village, 221 Lisnaskea Road, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 0JZ.
Capacity is limited. Some activities must be booked in advance, some can be booked on the day, and some are drop-in.
Explore and Wonder is a collaboration between Creative Monaghan and Creative Cavan and is part of Cruinniú na nÓg, funded through Creative Ireland: Shared Island.
