DESCRIPTION:The Parents Plus Adolescent Programme is designed to support parents and carers as their children navigate the challenges of adolescence. Delivered over six weekly evening sessions\, the programme provides a safe and supportive group space to reflect\, learn and connect with other parents. \nThe programme focuses on helping adolescents to make responsible choices\, communicate positively\, achieve their goals and build stronger relationships at home. Parents will gain practical tools to improve communication\, solve problems collaboratively\, set clear and appropriate rules\, and support their teenager’s growing independence in a positive way. \nThis evidence-based programme aims to strengthen family relationships and support both parent and adolescent wellbeing during this important stage of development.

DESCRIPTION:This ADHD Children’s Programme is designed to support parents and carers in understanding and responding to the needs of children aged 6–12 years with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)\, including those currently awaiting assessment. \nDelivered over several weekly sessions\, the programme offers practical\, evidence-based guidance in a supportive group setting. Topics include parenting a child with ADHD\, responding positively as a parent\, establishing routines\, managing concerning behaviour\, problem-solving\, long-term supports\, supporting siblings\, managing stress\, and helping children with their education and learning. \nThe programme aims to empower parents with strategies that promote positive family relationships and improved wellbeing for both children and parents.

DESCRIPTION:Outcomers LGBT+ Support Services run a regular “Meet & Catch Up” for LGBT+ adults in Monaghan. It’s a friendly\, inclusive space where people can meet others\, have a chat\, and feel part of a supportive local community. \nThe meet-up is open to new participants at any time\, whether you’re coming along for the first time or returning after a break. From Thursday 5 February\, the group will take place in its new venue at Monaghan Peace Campus on Plantation Road on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month.

DESCRIPTION:The Parents Plus Early Years Programme is a supportive\, evidence-based programme designed to help parents and carers better understand and respond to the needs of young children aged 0–5 years. \nFacilitated by Parenting Cavan\, the programme runs weekly over six weeks and provides practical tools to support positive behaviour\, emotional development and family wellbeing. Sessions are interactive and offer a safe\, confidential space for parents to reflect\, learn and connect with others. \nTopics covered include supporting children’s self-esteem and confidence\, encouraging positive behaviour\, tuning into your child\, establishing routines and rewards\, praising good behaviour\, managing misbehaviour\, and looking after yourself as a parent. \nThis programme is delivered online\, making it accessible to parents across Cavan and beyond. A stable internet connection and device with Zoom access are required.
