Parenting Cavan is offering a free Parents Plus Early Years Programme for parents and guardians of children aged 0–5 years.

The programme is also suitable for parents and guardians of children with additional needs, including ADHD, autism and other developmental differences.

Parents Plus programmes are developed in partnership with families and services. They are designed to support positive outcomes for children, families, communities and the services that support them.

The programme will cover practical topics including:

• supporting your child’s self-esteem and confidence
• helping children to do what you ask
• tuning in to your child and pressing the pause button
• establishing routines and rewards
• praising good behaviour and ignoring misbehaviour
• parent self-care
