ASIST is a free two-day suicide intervention skills workshop taking place in Cavan.

The workshop is designed to help participants become more ready, willing and able to support someone who may be at risk of suicide. It focuses on recognising immediate risk, responding safely and providing immediate safety, help and information.

The workshop includes five learning sections:

• Preparing
• Connecting
• Understanding
• Assisting
• Networking
